Complete no-code website design for India's first sparkling rice wine brand as a solo designer using Framer.

Timeline

Full web design project completed in 10 days - from discovery to final delivery.

Background

Offscript is a sparkling rice wine brand that embodies irreverence and ease — designed for those who savor curiosity as much as conversation. The team wanted a website that mirrored their cheeky, lifestyle-driven ethos without crossing into typical alcohol branding clichés.

Given India’s e-commerce restrictions on alcohol sales, the primary goal was to create a digital experience that told the brand story and directed users to stockists (physical distributors) in an engaging way.

Challenge

The challenge was twofold:

  1. Tell a story, not just show a product.
    The brand needed a visual narrative that would stand out in a category dominated by heritage-heavy or overly serious alcohol brands.

  2. Comply with Indian regulations.
    The site couldn’t sell alcohol directly, so it had to cleverly shift focus toward discovery and connection — guiding users to find Offscript at select venues and retailers while keeping the experience seamless.

Working closely with the cofounders, I translated Offscript’s visual identity into an interactive lifestyle experience. We aligned on tone early: playful, spontaneous, and subtly rebellious.

Discovery

Conducted market research to identify existing scheduling challenges and user preferences. Defined target audience segments and outlined key features based on user needs and market trends.

Exploration

After collecting all branding elements, I began by exploring layout ideas in Figma, focusing on movement and visual rhythm.

Reflecting on the playful nature of the brand, I thought it would be fun to transform the professional photography into Polaroid-style frames scattered across the page with the various scribbles and colors associated with Offscript.

Once the creative direction felt cohesive, I used the Figma-to-HTML with Framer plugin to bring the concepts to life and fine-tune them with directly in Framer within a week.

Age Gate

Custom-coded entry screen that validates legal drinking age while introducing the brand’s cheeky tone right from the start.

Immersive Design

Light animations guide users through sections of the long scrolling single-page design, reinforcing the brand’s movement and energy.

Playful Storytelling

Using scroll animations to change the background colors of the website bring life to the lifestyle and product photography.

Map Management

Instead of a typical “Buy Now,” users discover Offscript through an interactive list of partner venues — turning compliance into curiosity.

Keeping the map functionality on Google Maps allows for easy management by the lean cofounder team.
